Catmandoo and the Finnish Golf Union in cooperation

The Finnish Golf Union and Catmandoo have agreed on a 3-year cooperation. Catmandoo will be the official clothing supplier for all the Finnish National Golf Teams; men, women, girls and boys as well as all personnel of the Golf Union. The agreement has been signed for the seasons 2010-2012.

Catmandoo is extremely proud for opening the cooperation with the Golf Union and is taking a big step forward to the core of golf.

As an extra bonus on this deal Catmandoo will be one of the main partners in the Men’s European Amateur Golf Championships in Hämeenlinna, Finland in August. The tournament will be held in Finland now after more than ten years of time. Catmandoo will be strongly present in the event through the Finnish players as well as on the great surroundings of Linna Golf area.

Finland will be hosting Men’s European Amateur Championships in August

Men’s European Championships will be the top event in Finnish golf this summer.

Vanajanlinna Golf < Country Club will offer first rate surroundings for the European amateurs to meet. Vanajanlinna is situated just outside the city of Hämeenlinna some 100 km from Helsinki. As an official partner Catmandoo will be strongly present in the event which takes place between August 4th and 7th.

The winner of this tournament will play in the next year’s British Open, perhaps one of the most appreciated golf tournaments in the world.

The participants will be primarily selected basing on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). The Finnish Golf Union expects to have about 10 Finnish players in the championships. The biggest expectations focus on Kalle Samooja from Turku, Finland (WAGR 77). Kalle Samooja has won the Finnish Championship title the last two years and the he is also the winner of the French Open Amateur Championships 2009.

Such top pro golfers play in Catmandoo Team 2010 as Heikki Mäntylä, Markus Ervasti, Tuomas Tuovinen and Jani Perttilä. These players also take part in the FT –tournament.
